Taurus Horoscope 2024: What the Stars Predict for You This Year

2024 sees you growing more famous, and your pretty ruling planet Venus doesn’t retrograde at all.

December 28, 2023

Welcome to 2024, Taurus. With Uranus still in your sign all year long (it first moved into Taurus in March of 2019 and will stay there through July 2025), the rough news is that you can continue to expect surprises. Uranus is eccentric and unpredictable. You’re a grounded earth sign and a fixed one at that. You’re happiest when life is calm and stable. Uranus has two retrogrades, one that started in August of last year and ends on Saturday, January 27, and another that runs from Sunday, September 1, through the end of 2024. During these periods, the surprises occur from within. Rather than fear unexpected news to fall from the sky, you may change your mind about what you want out of a relationship, your approach to self-care, or the direction that your career is headed.

However, here’s some welcome news: Your ruling planet, darling Venus, ruler of delicious things (love, beauty, and money), does not go retrograde. Again, this is really awesome news. When Venus does go retrograde, lovers are more likely to bicker, money talks slow, making major changes to your appearance is ill-advised. But you don’t have to worry about that this year. Keep reading to learn what to expect in matters of love, friendship, career, and health from 2024.

Love & Relationships

Certainly expect to feel loved during your season, Taurus, kicking off on Friday, April 19. While this is true all year, the sun in your sign is an excuse for a birthday party, which enjoys all forms of love. This includes romantic partnerships, but adoration and pleasure aren’t limited to those dating. Shortly after the sun enters your sign, so does your ruling planet, sweet Venus, sliding into Taurus on Monday, April 29. While this is a lovely time for romance and will see plenty of Tauruses falling deeper in love, it calls for celebrating all partnerships. Venus enters Scorpio and your 7th House of Partnership, the part of your chart that focuses on relationships, on Sunday, September 22, leading autumn 2024 to be a notable time for love.

Now, let’s talk about sex. By the way, asexual Tauruans can simply replace the word “sex” with “sensuality.” The stars didn’t forget about you. It’s fine if any Tauruses are more interested in skin rituals over kinky fantasies, long baths instead of sex toys, or alone time sleeping over sex. Of course, you’re allowed to be greedy and have it all. The summer is a pleasurable time for you, Taurus, in whatever form you’re interested in, thanks to Mars, the planet associated with sexual energy, moving into your sign on Sunday, June 9.

While Mars is, well, a horny planet, to be blunt about it, there’s an entire part of your chart that rules pleasure: the 5th House. Venus slides into Virgo and your 5th House of Pleasure on Sunday, August 4. This offers a combination of love and sensuality that injects stagnant relationships with passion, helps light a spark of new relationships, and is a wonderful time to connect with your body. One must remember the power of self-pleasure. Full moons are notable for many reasons: they bring manifestation, they can sometimes leave you feeling on edge, but they can also heighten sex drives, hence their primal association. There’s a full moon in your sign, Taurus, on Friday, November 15. It could be a tumultuous night for partying, but it may also bring fireworks to relationships.

Friendships

The most important thing to know for your friendships in 2024 is that Saturn, the disciplinarian of the zodiac, spends the entire year in Pisces and your 11th House of Friendship. Saturn is the school principal of the zodiac. Granted, this doesn’t sound like the most fun connotation surrounding friendships, but Saturn is still on your side. It just means that if you’re holding onto any toxic friends, this is the year you let them go. It’s hard to let friendships fade away or cut them out entirely, but as we age, we must accept that our social circle will shift and change.

Because Pisces lights up your 11th House, the poetic sign’s entire season, which begins on Sunday, February 18, is fabulous for carving out extra time to devote to your social circle. When we’re single, our friendships can make themselves heard as a priority, but when we’re in relationships, it can be too easy to leave them on the back burner. So here’s a reminder to all of those partnered Tauruses: Don’t neglect your friends.

In addition to Pisces season, you should, of course, celebrate your friends while you celebrate for your solar return (the cosmic way to say “birthday”) when the sun enters your sign on Friday, April 19. And once again, we must mention the full moon in your sign on Friday, November 15. While the wildness all full moons bring may tempt you to party with friends around this date, it can leave everyone anxious and on edge and result in drama. Play it safe and enjoy your bright full moon relaxing at home.

Career

2024 significantly changes your work, creative hobby, or wherever you derive your social satisfaction. Thanks to transformative Pluto moving into Aquarius and your 10th House of Social Status starting on Saturday, January 20, where it will stay until Sunday, September 1, you see yourself becoming more famous for something. Pluto is also in your 10th House of Status starting on Tuesday, November 19, where it will stay through the end of 2024. Both periods mark makeovers for fame and fortune, whether you switch careers or your creative side gig takes off. Remember that our astrological predictions are, unfortunately, subject to capitalism, but the stars want you to hope.

With that caveat in mind, know that lucky planet Jupiter also seeks to bless your wallet. As the planet of expansion, it blesses everything that it touches. Jupiter is on your side all year long. When 2024 begins, it’s in your sign, meaning things seem to go your way. Then, the lucky planet moves into Gemini and your 2nd House of Possessions on Saturday, May 25. The point? If we put aside the economy and look at the stars, 2024 is epic for becoming more famous, getting ahead at work, and achieving success in your passions.

Other dates you should know about regarding money and career include Monday, April 29, when your ruling planet, Venus, comes home to your sign, Taurus. Venus is the ultimate goddess. She rules all things abundant: love, beauty, and money. Your words carry extra magic around this time, and your charm is heightened. It’s a powerful time to shoot your shot professionally and, of course, creatively. This is also true when the fighter planet Mars, the counterpart to Venus, enters your sign on Sunday, June 9. Mars energy can also help you get ahead; it’s just a different brand. While Venus is lovely, Mars is assertive. While we support you standing up for yourself all year long, you’ll be especially good at it with Mars in your sign. And keep an eye on the full moon in your sign on Friday, November 15. This lunar phase is associated with manifestation and can often bring the news we’ve been waiting for.

Health & Wellness

Usually, astrologers must warn you to avoid making significant changes to your appearance when your ruling planet, Venus, ruler of beauty, goes retrograde. This means that there’s always a chunk of time when drastic changes to hair color or body mods such as tattoos, ear piercings, or injectables are ill-advised. But there is no Venus retrograde in 2024. So relax, knowing you can go through as many makeovers as you desire in 2024.

However, unfortunately, nothing is ever totally easy. This year, two eclipses fall in Libra and your 6th House of Health. Reading the word “health” in a horoscope can be undeniably off-putting. But even more important than reminding us that astrologers can’t predict or control the economy is stating that we’re not doctors. Horoscopes aren’t meant to send you running to one, either, while it’s always a good idea to stay on top of your regular check-ups. Instead, when you read about your 6th House, consider it a cosmic excuse to double down on self-care and beauty routines. Honestly, reading about eclipses is far more stressful.

As cool as these cosmic occurrences were in science class, astrologically speaking, they are wildcards. Eclipses can bring about sudden change (especially regarding anything you’ve been dragging your feet on taking care of yourself). This year brings two that fall in Libra and your 6th House of Health: a full moon and lunar eclipse on Monday, March 25, and a new moon and solar eclipse on Wednesday, October 2. But you don’t need to worry. Just jot these dates down in your calendar and use them as excuses to stay in, rest, and treat yourself.
